Associate Professor Véronique Duché, room 511, Babel.
Venue: room 217, Babel Building.
Next meeting: Tuesday 21 May at 12:00.
We will continue to look at some Miracles de Notre Dame de Chartres, picking up Miracle XXVII at line 59 and perhaps going on to Miracle XXVIII.
This will be the final meeting for the semester; the group will reconvene in July - details of the date and text will be circulated.
Please remember that no experience with French or Old French is necessary!
A useful resource is the Leeds MedFrench source at http://medfrench.leeds.ac.uk/.
For those who are interested, good online dictionaries are available here:
http://atilf.atilf.fr/gsouvay/scripts/dmfX.exe?INIT_SESSION;ISIS=isis_dmf2.txt;OUVRIR_MENU=1 (French again, and slightly later, but still good).
And here’s a link to a neat set of resources online supplied by Trinity College Dublin:
Also, the Wikipedia Old French Grammar page at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_French#Grammar.
Looking forward to seeing you,
Dr Stephanie Downes
